News Analysis: Tapping the Power of Brands in Rewards & Recognition

An article published eight years ago in Engagement  Strategies Magazine, a sister publication of RRN, touts the power of associating companies with specific brands in your reward and recognition programs that both appeal to individuals and also reflect and communicate brand values.

Over the last year, RRN readers surely have noted the increasing number of brands focusing on the reward experience. What we have not seen yet seen demonstrated is an understanding of how to combine the power of brands with artful selection, presentation and delivery that remains an untapped opportunity for the IRR field. We are publishing a link to this article from 2010 to draw attention to how long it takes for industries to awaken to the most effective practices. As this article articulately states, rewards are not carrots, they are an emotional communication, and the brand name selected makes as much a statement as the product itself.
