Incenta Rewards Gets Ohio Grant for Technology Development

This Dayton, OH-based incentive company will invest grant funds to enhance its engagement technology.

Incenta RewardsJobsOhio, the state's private economic development corporation, has awarded Incenta Rewards with an inclusion grant to partially fund a major software development project, the company announced. The grant reportedly encourages businesses to invest in their own companies in exchange for job growth benefitting the community and state. The Dayton Development Coalition, JobsOhio’s network partner for the Dayton region, supported Incenta Rewards through the grant application process.

“We often work with companies in need of support in order to grow and add jobs but do not meet the requirements for traditional JobsOhio support,” says Julie Sullivan, the DDC’s executive vice president for regional development. “We’re thrilled to have a new tool in our economic development toolbox to support small business job growth.”

Incenta Rewards is a Dayton, OH-based firm that offers employee incentive, recognition, and consumer loyalty reward programs. “When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we sat down and reviewed all of our business processes and expenses to find ways to enhance our core service offerings," Incenta Rewards President Joe Jones says. "We determined Incenta’s proprietary online reward platform was ready for a 2.0 upgrade. The timing of JobsOhio’s inclusion grant could not have been any better. It allowed Incenta Rewards to fast-track the software development to enhance our platform."

After learning of the grant, which must be documented with a detailed investment charter and software development contract, Incenta restructured its online software technologies, Jones says, “Most of our competitors outsource or purchase leased software that limits their capabilities or appears to be another cookie cutter online reward program. Incenta made sure the software upgrades enhance the reward participant experience that drives growth to our client’s business objectives.  It allows us to continue with our national footprint in this industry.”

Incenta can assist small business owners with turn-key reward programs and incentive industry sales professionals seeking all the back-office support to run their clients’ corporate loyalty reward programs.
