Karen L. Kellyowner and managing partner of K2 Ultimate Incentives, has earned her Certified Engagement Practitioner designation through the Enterprise Engagement Alliance Impact Academy, a program designed to equip professionals with a formal, Total Quality Management-based framework for engaging stakeholders and delivering measurable results.

The certification, developed around ISO 10018 people engagement standards and stakeholder management principles, aims to provide a structured methodology for aligning people, purpose, and performance across organizations. It is overseen academically by Gary Rhoads, Academic Director of the program and Stephen M. Covey Professor Emeritus of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University.

The EEA certification is based on a 50-question, proctored multi-choice question test and a an interview that focuses on: basic principles of total quality management for people; the implementation, design, and impact measurement principles focused on value creation; how to better align the dozen or so tactics involved, and to break down organizational or team silos, and a fundamental understanding of impact metrics.

Karen Kelly says she has more than two decades of experience across sales, customer support, marketing, program execution, and leadership roles, including managing teams and at various points designing and supporting incentive and recognition initiatives. Her multi-perspective understanding of employees, customers, managers, and organizations has shaped how she approaches engagement and performance, she adds. Her decision to pursue certification reflects a deliberate effort to elevate client conversations beyond traditional rewards, shifting the focus from what to offer toward what organizations seek to accomplish, and how those outcomes can be measured and improved over time.

Her achievement highlights a broader evolution in the incentive, rewards, and recognition field, as solution providers increasingly seek the tools and credibility to demonstrate impact, says Bruce Bolger, EEA Founder. By grounding her approach in a formal, standards-based framework, Karen Kelly positions K2 Ultimate Incentives to help clients move from transactional programs to strategic engagement systems designed to drive tangible business results.

“We’re still here to support our clients rewards and recognition needs; our aim is to help them more tangibly connect them to core organizational or team performance priorities.”
