Recognition Professionals International Joins the Incentive Marketing Association

The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) and Recognition Professionals International (RPI) announced that RPI has joined the IMA as a Strategic Industry Group (SIG). The two organizations have been collaborating since signing an affiliation agreement in March of 2021.

Recognition Professionals International"This is an exciting time for both Recognition Professionals International and Incentive Marketing Association. Since our missions, goals, and focus are well aligned, we felt both organizations would be strengthened by working together," says RPI President, David Klein, Senior Director, Talent, at Spirit Airlines in the announcement.

Incentive Marketing AssociationKlein says the move will bring greater stability for RPI. "With a more sustainable cost structure, RPI can invest more in enhancing and upgrading our offerings to ensure we deliver best-in-class content and value to our business partners and members. RPI will also benefit from IMA corporate outreach and draw in additional membership which will increase networks and exposure for our members," Klein adds. RPI was founded in 1995 by Debbie Patrick of AT&T Universal Card and Rafik Bishara of Eli Lily Pharmaceuticals, according to RPI’s web site.

With the addition of RPI to the IMA family of SIGs (Special Interest Groups), the IMA provides a comprehensive network of incentive and recognition solutions and rewards for businesses, the announcement states. "Recognition is such a large piece of the incentive market; it makes savvy business sense to be aligned with this group of professionals who are involved daily in the practice and measurement of the programs so many of us work on," says IMA President, Bill Martocci, CPIM, Carlisle Sales & Marketing.

"The IMA's mission to advocate and promote the use of incentives and recognition to improve business performance is bolstered by the people and efforts RPI provides. With the addition of RPI, our members, all of the SIGs, and the incentive channel as a whole are strengthened under the umbrella that is the IMA," Martocci explains.
